Flying Fillies operates as a fundraising sub-committee under South Canterbury Hunt Inc.
Part A – Event Terms and Conditions
These terms govern your participation in the Flying Fillies Hunt 2025 event. By registering and participating, you agree to the following conditions.
1. Event Changes and Cancellation
The Participating Hunts reserve the right to limit numbers, change the hunt venue, or cancel the hunt without refund due to adverse weather conditions. Any refund for cancellation or withdrawal of the meet is at the discretion of the committee.
2. Refunds
Refunds are available prior to 1 May 2026 for change of mind or circumstance, subject to your space being filled and a $20 administration fee. No refunds will be issued after this date or if your ticket cannot be resold.
3. Respect for Landowners
Hunting is made possible by the kind permission of landowners. Please respect their property:
- Do not clean out your horse truck/trailer on the landowner's property.
- Leave all gates as found.
- Remove all litter, hay, and horse feed.
- Report any damage to Hunt officials.
- No dogs allowed.
4. Safety Requirements
For safety reasons, all riders under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult rider. All participants are required to attend the Pre-Hunt Health and Safety Briefing and follow all instructions.
5. Social Media
In accordance with the New Zealand Hunt Association, participants are asked to refrain from taking or sharing photos of hounds and hares together, blood or trophies on social media of any kind. Photos portraying alcohol consumption should also not be uploaded.
6. Sport Concussion Policy
Concussion is a brain injury that affects the function of the brain and may or may not result in loss of consciousness. Key points to be aware of:
- A concussion is not always caused by a direct hit to the head; it may result from impact elsewhere on the body with force transmitted to the head.
- Only 10% of concussions present with loss of consciousness.
- A concussion typically results in rapid onset of short-lived neurological impairment that resolves spontaneously.
South Canterbury Hunt Inc. has implemented the following concussion management approach:
- When a rider suffers a concussion, they must have a minimum of 21 days away from hunting with South Canterbury.
- Medical clearance must be obtained prior to return to hunting.
It is recommended that riders wear a protective helmet at all times when mounted, with the chinstrap fastened and adjusted to prevent movement in the event of a fall.
7. Disclaimer and Liability Waiver
By participating in a South Canterbury Hunt Inc. event, I acknowledge that there are risks of injury to my health and the safety of others. I agree to comply with any instructions or directions given by any official of the participating hunts. If I observe any unusual hazard during my presence or participation, I agree to immediately bring it to the attention of the nearest official.
By participating, I accept all risks personally and release and hold harmless the Participating Hunts, its officers, committee members, employees, landowners, and other persons involved from all liability, claims, damage, losses, or causes of action, including negligence, arising from my participation.
I acknowledge that I have read and agree to these terms and conditions upon registration.
Part B – Online Store Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions govern the supply of goods and services ("products") by South Canterbury Hunt Inc. via the Flying Fillies online store. They are effective from the date of your acceptance when placing an order through the website. By purchasing products through the online shop, you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions.
1. Purchaser Requirements
You must be 18 years or older to purchase alcohol or any restricted items. All purchases are for personal use only and not for resale.
2. Availability and Supply
All orders are subject to product availability. If an item becomes unavailable, we will contact you to arrange a suitable alternative or issue a refund.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are stated in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless otherwise noted. Payments are processed securely through Stripe or any other payment provider displayed at checkout.
4. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are processed within the timeframes indicated on each product page. Delivery times may vary based on your location and courier performance. South Canterbury Hunt Inc. and Flying Fillies are not responsible for delivery delays beyond our control.
5. Returns and Refunds
We comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Refunds or replacements will be offered for faulty or damaged products. Refunds for change of mind are not provided unless required by law.
6. Liquor License Information
Alcohol sold via this website is supplied under the liquor license held by Geraldine Distillery Limited (trading as Humdinger Distillery).

It is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years. By purchasing alcohol, you confirm that you are 18 years or older.
7. Fundraising Disclosure
Proceeds from Flying Fillies' online store sales contribute to fundraising initiatives that support South Canterbury Hunt Inc. operations and community activities.
8. Liability Limitation
Our liability is limited to the value of the products supplied. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and use personal information to process your orders, manage fundraising records, and communicate with you about your purchase. Your information will not be shared with third parties except as required to fulfil your order or by law. Cookies may be used to improve user experience and can be managed through your browser settings.
10. General Conditions
We may amend these terms at any time by updating this page. Continued use of the site indicates acceptance of any changes. If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remainder shall remain enforceable.
